The mission of Girls Beyond Statistics Inc. rest on the tenant of Becoming a Better YOU! mentally, through mentoring, providing sponsorship, and creating a safe place to speak freely.
Girls Beyond Statistics Inc., prides itself at addressing the call to action to develop a generation of African American women scholars who embody moral standards, confidence, self-advocacy, leading fearlessly, and that embody servant leadership.
The tiered approach to our program offers an opportunity to increasing present day statistics for future African American female leaders.
It has been less than 30 years since, in 1992, former NASA astronaut Mae Jemison became the first Black woman to travel to space. Since then, only three other Black women have flown to space: NASA astronauts Stephanie Wilson and Joan Higginbotham, and Inspiration4 astronaut Sian Proctor. Cite-Feb 3, 2022
